Vintage Merrythought Noddy Doll

A wonderful, original, character doll from the famous Merrythought Teddy Bear Company, in Ironbridge, Shropshire, England, and based on the absolutely beloved British children's tv show character 'Noddy'. Very rare, large-sized, vintage Merrythought Noddy Doll. 1960-68. He is a larger size standing at 51 cm or 21" tall and has the original Merrythought label on his oversized foot, Noddy has a metal spring in his neck which allows his head to nod, a pressed velvet face and huge feet. Noddy will stand on his own and is in superb conditon! Compare him to the one in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London: http://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O37503/soft-toy-character-noddy/ (this one is only 28 cm tall which was the common size. I have never seen another large size one like this one. The smaller ones like in the V & A go for between $250 and $475 at auction without auction house fees and taxes). A real collectors item!
